Building Secure Foundations for Learning
Protecting Educational Infrastructure Across the Niger Delta
A regional campus security awareness and infrastructure protection initiative designed to safeguard tertiary institutions, empower students, engage host communities, and reduce preventable losses caused by vandalism, theft, insecurity, and infrastructure degradation.
We are seeking:
Why Safe Campus ND Matters: Every year across the Niger Delta, campus laboratories are vandalized, generators are stolen, libraries are damaged, and computer laboratories are compromised. With perimeter fences regularly breached and security infrastructure weakened, the result is billions of naira in avoidable losses and disruptions to learning. The SafeCampus ND Initiative exists to change this reality through awareness, stakeholder engagement, security sensitization, and collaborative action.
Programme Coverage & Reach: This extensive initiative spans across 9 Target States (Abia, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Edo, Imo, Ondo, and Rivers), directly impacting 26 tertiary institutions across the Niger Delta region. The expected reach encompasses over 2,000,000+ students, thousands of academic and non-academic staff, and hundreds of host community stakeholders.
Programme Objectives:
Logistics & ICT Support: To ensure smooth execution, we require Coaster buses for the movement of programme teams, fuel support, driver support, and inter-state transportation assistance. Furthermore, ICT support including laptops, projectors, multimedia equipment, internet connectivity, and digital awareness tools are highly needed.
