On Tuesday, 27th May 2026, the D Elizabeth Foundation teamed up with the Priesthood Children Home in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to host a vibrant and impactful outreach program in celebration of Children's Day. Under the inspiring themes "Nurturing Hope, Building Futures" and "Every Child Matters, Every Smile Counts," the event was designed to bring immense joy, festive celebration, and essential relief to the children.
The outreach beautifully balanced a festive party atmosphere with a high-impact donation drive, ensuring the children felt both celebrated and deeply cared for.
The D Elizabeth Foundation made substantial material donations to support the daily running of the home and ensure the children’s nutritional and hygiene needs are met for weeks to come. The presentation featured a wide variety of essential provisions stacked proudly at the forefront of the gathering:
A Festive Atmosphere: The venue was beautifully set up with event tents and colorful promotional roll-up banners adorned with balloons and celebratory graphics to give the children a true party experience.
Unified Identity: The children of the home proudly wore matching uniforms—bright purple tops paired with clean white skirts, trousers, and matching purple headwraps or ties. The foundation members and volunteers were easily identifiable in their custom branded T-shirts and caps, working hand-in-hand to coordinate the day.
Engaging Activities: As highlighted by the event's schedule, the day was packed with interactive experiences designed to uplift the children's spirits, including:
